Sejal completed her BA Music at University of Newcastle upon Tyne before heading to Guildford School of Acting to train as an actor. She is a classically trained singer, with experience as a vocalist in soul, gospel, classical, cabaret, rock and musical theatre.
Her roles whilst training include the Witch in 'Into the Woods', Golde in 'Fiddler on the Roof', Simone in 'The Baker's Wife' and Cunegonde in ‘Candide’.
Since graduating from GSA, Sejal has worked on various stage and screen projects. She originated the role of Saffy in the London premiere of ‘After the Tone’ and performed as a member of the Street Chorus in 'Bernstein's Mass' at the Royal Festival Hall. Sejal was a principle dancer in the online Guardian film 'Bollywood Royal Wedding' and is a featured actor in the music video '10 Million Lights' by Ezra Axelrod. Her TV credits include ITVs ’Let’s Do Lunch with Gino and Mel – Christmas Special’ and ‘BBC’s Search for a Musical Theatre Performer’ documentary. She has also performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Phoenix Arts Leicester as Amy in the Sondheim musical 'Company', and was a finalist in the 'BBC's Voice of Musical Theatre' competition in Cardiff.
Sejal is also a session singer and backing vocalist, with live performance and studio experience in soul, gospel, classical, rock and musical theatre. She has performed as a soloist in venues including Ronnie Scotts, the Jazz Café, The Royal Festival Hall and the Royal Albert Hall. She has a vast amount of choral experience ranging from 'Carmina Burana' to the 'London Community Gospel Choir'.
